What is Perenso?

Perenso is UNFI’s chosen show ordering platform that has been customized to accommodate UNFI’s system data and business offerings. UNFI and Perenso are committed to the journey to improving exhibitor and customer ordering experience as we work toward total business unification and simplifying technological experiences for all.

When is training?
-
Virtual Training hosted by UNFI Events and Perenso is typically held approximately 4 weeks before the show, after Perenso sends Portal invites to the primary registrant and identified Perenso contact, if provided. Training is crucial to your sales and a positive on-site experience for all.

Show Ordering Training with iPads will be provided on-site for your booth representatives during Exhibitor Set-up on Connection Day. Whoever will be taking orders at your booth must attend this training. Customers can tell when our suppliers have not attended show ordering training and sales suffer.

How do I get an iPad?
-
Ordering iPads are provided by UNFI and can be picked up during Exhibitor Set-up on Connection Day near the show floor. Our ‘Know Before You Go’ communication will provide pick-up details.
Where can I find on-site support for show ordering?
-
The UNFI Hub on the show floor can assist with issues related to accounts, items or deals in Perenso. The Help button on the iPad will call a Perenso representative to your booth for assistance. Email showsupport@perenso.com for further assistance.
What are the differences between Natural, Conventional, Tony’s & Crossover in Perenso?
Conventional:
-
Only item assortment with show deals (CMAPs) submitted to Category Manager via SV Harbor prior to the show are loaded to be able to sell via Perenso.

GFD suppliers are the ONLY department able to negotiate additional supplier deals and submit Lump Sums via Perenso.

Not authorized to give free fills via Perenso and iPads.
Natural:
-
Item assortment and deals (MCBs) are confirmed and submitted directly via the Perenso show portal by the Supplier or Broker Representative. Deals are reviewed by TabletopPromotions@unfi.com and locked for ordering prior to Pre-Show Ordering going live.

All Natural Suppliers will be able to negotiate and give additional deals to customers via Perenso.

Authorized to give free fills via Perenso and iPads.
Tony’s:
-
Only item assortment with show deals (discounts) submitted via the Tony’s Vendor Portal prior to the show are loaded to be able to sell via Perenso.

Items in the Perenso portal will only have discounts loaded. No pricing is loaded for Tony’s items. Note: Sales Recaps will show cases sold only as no pricing is loaded for Tony’s items.

Negotiating additional supplier deals is not available via Perenso for any Tony’s items.

Not authorized to give free fills via Perenso and iPads.
Crossover:
-
Suppliers with item placement and deals submitted in multiple UNFI Channels. Example: A supplier may have items set up in Conventional and Natural UNFI DC’s that they would like to be able to sell to customers.

Individual supplier channel rules above still apply, but both Supplier remits will be linked and set up in one single booth in Perenso.
Note: This ensures all Supplier items with show deals, regardless of channel, are loaded into the Supplier’s ordering iPad at the show to be able to sell.
Show Tip: Scanning a customer badge with the iPad will restrict ordering to items and DCs they can access.
How do I access reports?

Show order recaps can be emailed directly from the Show Ordering iPads on-site, as well as accessed via the Perenso Show Portal via the "Reports" tab.
Is there Wi-Fi at the show?
-
Wi-Fi is provided for all attendees primarily for iPad ordering. Network ID and password will be shared in the ‘Know Before You Go’ communication and posted on signage near registration.
